We have really enjoyed our weeks holiday at Mead Farm - our first real adventure into the Peaks! There are some fabulous walks starting from the farm including a leisurely stroll to Castleton and a tougher climb up Lose Hill, although its rewarded by the most beautiful panoramic views of the valley!

It's easy to see why The Oaks has a five star rating..... it is a great home from home and we have really enjoyed our week here. We were straight into holiday mode the moment we walked in. The weather was kind to us and we enjoyed being out and about most days. Hope to return again in the new year!

What a beautiful place to call home for a few days! Such a lovely welcome and the cottage is just perfect, we felt at home from the second we walked through the door. It was such a delightful place to start and end our days walking and we were so lucky to have had both sunshine and snow during our stay. We will be back!

A very lovely cosy cottage for our week away in the peaks. Hope is a very nice village with amazing walking routes and we didn't even have to use the car once with everything being on the doorstep! The cottage is the best place we've ever stayed and super relaxing after a long walk. We will be back soon!

We feel completely relaxed and refreshed after a short break in The Acorn. The cottage made us feel completely at home! Brilliant mountain bike trails on the doorstep - if only we had access to this kind of thing back home! An excellent host.....

"It really is as good as it purports to be in the brochure-spotlessly clean and immaculate decoration and furnishing - a truly luxurious holiday. It is perfectly placed for walkers, cyclists and sightseers and the views of the surrounding hills are astounding. We sampled the Cheshire Cheese and the Poachers Arms - fab food.
