Places to visit in the Peak District

The Barn is a short walk from The Cheshire Cheese Inn just along Edale Road, good food and drink and a great atmosphere. It is very popular locally, so let us know if you would like us to book a table for you.

Also highly recommended (well tried and tested by ourselves) is The Samuel Fox in Bradwell and 1530 Italian restaurant in Castleton.

The nearby village of Castleton, 2 miles from Hope, is the home of the Blue John Mine, Speedwell Cavern with its underground boat ride and other caverns well worth a visit.   You will find an excellent Tourist Information Centre as well as a wide selection of gift shops and cafes.  Rose Cottage is particularly warm and welcoming and offers delicious food during the day.
